The Curatorial Fund is a catalyst for new thinking and practice in the creative and cultural sector. It has been developed in response to the success of a ten-year pilot programme which saw ten curators developing their critical practice, acting as a stepping stone towards the next stage of their career. Past awardees include the Holburne Museum, the Craft Council and Cockpit Arts.

The Curatorial Fund is currently offered across the following three tiers:
• Small Grants: Supporting individuals’ career development with opportunities for example, in travel or research sabbaticals. These grants are issued through our strategic partnership with cultural institutions, collectives and groups. Unsolicited applications will not be considered.
• Medium Grants: Enabling partner museums and galleries to deliver projects, which impact their communities and wider organisation.
• Large Grants: Partnering with strategic national organisations to fund programmes with sector wide impact.
Recently we have supported the Museum of the Home, Birmingham Museums Trust and The Society for Protection of Ancient Buildings.
